The participation of all the stakeholders, including NGOs, in the conservation and optimal management of wetlands is considered as one of the basic principles of the ecosystem approach. During its 15 years of activity,CIWP has prioritized working with local and national NGOs, and there have been numerous partnerships in the form of shared agreements for implementing a specific project or in the form of shared educational and advisory meetings. Therefore, at the moment, one of the networks whose effective empowerment and activation is on the agenda of CIWP is the network of wetland NGOs. Some of the outputs of this network can be mentioned as organizing various technical and advisory meetings to develop management plans, holding educational sessions, improving the capacity, and implementing common projects.
