The initiation of the process of cooperation between the Iranian wetlands’ protection project and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism with the aim of the effective implementation of the wetlands’’ ecosystem management programs  

The national manager of Conservation of Iranian Wetlands Project informed about the observation of the first meeting that investigated the areas of cooperation between the Iranian wetlands’ protection project and the national agreement office of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism.

The mentioned meeting was held this year on May 17th in the location of the national agreement office of the Organization of Cultural Heritage and Tourism with the presence of experts and managers relating to this domain. On the sideline of this meeting, the practices of the Iranian wetlands’ protection project in the field of society-centered tourism and ecotourism and the common areas of cooperation between the two offices were described and inspected.

The national manager of Conservation of Iranian Wetlands Project referred to the planning process by the attendance of all involved individuals and decentralization via participatory management as two prominent features of the programs of the comprehensive ecosystem management of the country’s wetlands and reckoned the role and status of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism very important in executing the actions of the comprehensive ecosystem management programs of the country’s wetlands. He continued that: “the sustainable management of the country’s wetlands will be impossible unless all key intersectoral beneficiaries cooperate towards the execution of the comprehensive ecosystem management programs of the country’s wetlands.”
